I LOVE that the sun sets so late in the evening here. Having just come from Central America where the sun sets at 6 PM every day, I kind of forgot how much daylight we get in Minnesota. Here is the view from the restaurant where I work in Roosevelt MN:
I live right next to the foothills in Colorado so the sun goes down sooner at my house.......which in the summer, like today when it's over 100, is nice!!
How far is this from the cabin? We spent how many summers there and Dad and Mom, never took us to that beach.
I know. They suck.
It is precisely 11 miles from the old cabin. And: AND! Grandma and grandpa had a cabin on the beach.
I think it's where you put on the polyester outfit and danced around?
Yes that I remember but we got the cabin after that and would they have ever thought to take their 6 kids for a fun day at the beach. Hey it is summer and they are kids I bet they'd love to go to the beach. Wait why take them to the beach when they can play in the sticks or in that field.

you need to travel in alaska & write about it! hey you have free place to stay at our house so why wouldn't you come up here?? xo, katie b
