Talk About Creepy Starers

One thing I can't get used to in India is the staring. In Western culture we stare all the time too, but when caught staring we look away immediately. Indian people do not look away. My first inclination is to stare right back and try to win some contest by making them look away first. You can't do that with men here though. Not smart. On our train ride from Mumbai to Jodhpur, we had 17 hours of men staring at us. If it was particularily creepy, it worked to put my hand out and say, "DON'T look at me", but if that didn't work I took photos for revenge.
Way zoomed in. This guy was two berths away.
I actually liked this starer. Unlike all the others, he was smiling with his head rested on his hand, as if I was the most beautiful creature he had ever seen.
The above guy was bugging me really bad because he was just on the other side of my bed, with the grate in between. He literally stared at Summer and me like that for a couple of hours and would have continued to do so had I not done this:

Kelly says: I think I can still see his eyeball peeking through those scarves.

Not right in any culture.

Kelly: it was. And then when another train passed us and the wind of it blew my curtain down, he was staring the whole time as I put the curtain back up.
